چکیده

The performance of the blind multiuser detector for a DSCDMA system with linearly constrained constant modulus (LCCM) criterion is known to highly depend on the exact knowledge of the desired user amplitude; it is usually not available at receiver end. In this paper, we propose a novel LC adaptive CM RLS (LC-ACM-RLS) algorithm to adaptively implement the optimal solution of the LCCM receiver, and to track the desired user’s amplitude, simultaneously. From computer simulations, we verify the superiority of the new proposed algorithm over the conventional LCCM-RLS algorithm for multiple access interference (MAI) suppression. Also, for time-varying channel during the adaptation processes, if the amplitude of desired user is not available and varies with time, such as hand-off and Rayleigh fading environments, we show that the proposed LC-ACM-RLS algorithm has better tracking capability compared with the conventional approaches. key words: DS-CDMA multiuser detector, constant modulus criterion, linearly constrained RLS algorithm, multiple access interference, tracking capability

Nonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems

Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...

A self-recovering RAKE receiver for asynchronous CDMA systems

In asynchronous CDMA systems, transmission over frequency-selective channels subjects the signal to interchip interference and intersymbol interference, both of which cause multiple access interference (MAI). MAI cannot be easily eliminated without the knowledge of the channel parameters. Both blind adaptive and subspace based multiuser receivers have been proposed to eliminate the interference...

An Adaptive Blind Receiver for Asynchronous Ds-cdma Based on Recursive Svd and Rls

| In this paper we present an adaptive blind receiver for asynchronous direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) communication over multipath channels. The algorithm can handle both multiuser interference (MUI) and intersymbol interference (ISI) by the use of a twofold spreading together with some spatial over-sampling. It is based on a blind virtual channel identiication using th...

Adaptive Multiuser Detection and Beamforming for Interference Suppression in CDMA Mobile Radio Systems

This paper considers the problem of interference suppression in direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DSCDMA) systems over fading channels. An adaptive array receiver is presented which integrates multiuser detection, beamforming, and RAKE reception to mitigate cochannel interference and fading. The adaptive multiuser detector is formulated using a blind constrained energy minimization...
